The NQF level 4 New Venture Creation qualification provides potential and existing entrepreneurs with more complex knowledge and skills required to be an entrepreneur. They will be able to establish and develop a small to medium business venture, and address the economic, administrative and behavioural (psycho-social) barriers that contribute to success in starting and sustaining such a venture. This in turn will enable them to explore a diverse range of entrepreneurial opportunities. Candidates will become more empowered in softer skills such as management and leadership within the entrepreneurial space.
The programme content is set around the following outcomes:
- Identify and create a new venture
- Learn about the interpersonal skills required in a business environment
- Understand basic economics within a market economy
- Manage a new venture by applying business principles and techniques
- Gain an understanding of the role of leadership and management
